The Ambulatory Rehabilitation Analyst configures, maintains, optimizes, and supports Epic functionality for rehabilitation workflows, including therapy evaluations, treatment plans, documentation, referrals, orders, scheduling, and charge capture. The role works with rehabilitation therapists, clinic staff, providers, and IT teams to support efficient patient care, accurate documentation, and appropriate billing. It troubleshoots system issues, optimizes therapy workflows, supports implementations and upgrades, and identifies improvements to usability, operational efficiency, and the patient and clinician experience. The IT Application Analyst supports Epic and third-party applications used by supported departments through implementation, support, maintenance, and optimization. The position collaborates with IT teams, leadership, end users, internal stakeholders, and vendors to understand operational needs and design and implement solutions. Epic is the primary software vendor, but the role also supports other vendors. The posting covers positions dedicated to the UMC Epic Team, including IT Application Analyst or IT Clinical Applications Analyst; the clinical analyst option requires an RN license to practice professional nursing in Texas. The role is hybrid for local candidates or fully remote for experienced and certified candidates who are not local. Normal hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, though hours may vary for departmental needs, system maintenance, downtimes, and implementations. On-call coverage is part of the role.
