About The Position

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking an IT App Dev Engr III for multiple positions in Seattle, Washington. This role involves collaborating with business users, development teams, and operations engineering teams to meet business requirements and maintain high operational standards for system availability and reliability. The engineer will design and implement next-generation financial solutions using a variety of technologies, manage AWS resources (EC2, RDS, Redshift, Stepfunctions, EMR, Lambda), and integrate them with third-party applications like IBM Planning Analytics. Responsibilities include building high-quality data architecture and pipelines for customer reporting, creating monitoring dashboards and critical alarms, interfacing with other technology teams for data extraction, transformation, and loading, and continually improving reporting and analysis processes. The role also requires diving deep to resolve problems, preparing runbooks and training materials, and building/enhancing software to improve business processes and end-user needs within the system architecture.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Three years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation as equivalent to a Bachelor's degree and one year of experience.
One year of experience with TM1 technical skills including rules and TI coding, security setup, report development, and ongoing maintenance of existing models.
Experience gathering requirements for new projects and providing user training.
Experience with data modelling, data warehousing, or building ETL pipelines.
Finance experience including working on financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting functions and processes.
Proficiency with MS Excel and building reports connected to TM1.

Responsibilities

Dive deep to resolve problems at their root, looking for failure patterns and suggesting fixes.
Prepare runbooks, methods of procedures, tutorials, training videos on best practices for the team.
Build and enhance software to extend system, application, or tool functionality to improve business processes and meet end user needs while working within the overall system architecture.
