About The Position
The IT App Analyst III will transform business requirements into system capabilities to deliver financial solutions to business users across Amazon. This role involves designing, configuring, and testing solutions that support the end-user experience in financial applications. The analyst will need to understand the financial application domain, including industry functionalities, and configure/automate accounting functions for internal business processes. Identifying opportunities to design and deploy technology solutions, and supporting current systems that enable strategic initiatives and operational efficiencies are key aspects of the role. Ensuring application controls are designed and operating effectively to support internal controls over financial reporting is also crucial. The position requires contributing relevant technical, functional, and process expertise, negotiating, and driving alignment for all financial systems projects and initiatives. Additionally, the role includes mentoring junior Analysts.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree or foreign equivalent degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
- Alternatively, a Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field and five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
- One year of experience in hands-on experience with at least one of the following applications: General Ledger, Hyperion Financial Management, Essbase/Smart View, or IBM Tririga Lease.
- One year of experience in designing, implementing, and participating in large-scale enterprise accounting applications.
- One year of experience in gathering, analyzing and synthesizing business requirements.
- One year of experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and GAAP research tools.
- Domestic and/or international travel up to 25% may be required.
