About The Position

The Department of Information Technology (DolT) in Prince William County is transforming how government delivers services. DolT is seeking an experienced IT Analyst to support Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM). In this role, you will work closely with the HCM team serving the county agencies via support of various HCM Modules. You will be working closely with our Senior IT Analyst in creating reports, testing and providing 3-tier end user support. This position is part of the Human Capital Management Technologies team within the Business Technology Services Program of the Department of Information Technology. The team consists of 4 members, including this position, 2 senior IT analyst, and 1 Intern, all reporting to the team manager. The team is primarily focused on implementing and supporting Oracle HCM applications that serve internal County staff, including the following HCM modules: Core, Absence, Time and Labor, Benefits, Learning, Career Development and Payroll.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • 5 years of progressive experience in computer information systems.
  • Strong technical skills with current technologies, enabling effective technical support delivery.
  • Strong SQL and Fast Formula building skills.
  • Experience in providing operational support for cloud-based solutions.
  • Strong writing skills, including experience developing and documenting user guides, test cases, test scripts, process diagrams, and architectural diagrams.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Self-directed, results-driven professional who excels at multiple technical and non-technical assignments simultaneously, demonstrates strong organizational skills, and consistently brings solutions, rather than problems, to leadership.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field
  • 3 years of hands-on experience delivering and supporting complex, enterprise-grade IT solutions across departmental and organization-wide environments
  • 3 years of experience performing technical tasks and writing custom reports using Oracle SQL
  • 3 years of technical experience supporting Human Capital Management (HCM) or HRIS systems such as Oracle, UKG, Workday, or ADP
  • Background in computer information systems with 5 or more years of relevant experience in computer information systems or information technology.
  • Stay current with emerging and trending technologies.
  • Comfortable presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences and delivering clear written reports and assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Human Capital Management team in administering Oracle Workforce Management across the full Hire to Retire lifecycle.
  • Conduct user account audits and support Human Resources and Payroll teams with FOIA data requests.
  • Develop and maintain complex reports.
  • Research and evaluate solutions via the Oracle community to drive business process improvements.
  • Provide 3-tier end user support.
  • Create reports.
  • Testing.
