About The Position

This job reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems, including encoding, testing, debugging and installation to support an organization's application systems. Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives. Maintains knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field and relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 9 years of related experience, OR 6 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
  • Proficiency working with databases, online solutions and the programming languages commonly used at the organization's information services division.
  • Analytical skills and ability to use logical thought processes.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under stressful situations with frequent interruptions and frequent changes in priorities.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules such as nights, weekends, extended shifts, etc., travel throughout and between facilities, and travel out of town occasionally.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 6 years of programming experience.

Responsibilities

  • Performs analysis of assigned applications and business processes/functions.
  • Modifies and supports assigned applications/systems as appropriate.
  • Partners and communicates with assigned customers/end users.
  • Maintains and enhances professional competencies and industry knowledge.
  • Performs lead duties.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
  • Remains knowledgeable on current federal, state and local laws, accreditation standards or regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility and ensures compliance with all such laws, regulations and standards.
