About The Position

This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by ensuring the Supervisor’s instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly. This position will also monitor all equipment to ensure it is working properly and notify the supervisor of any needed maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. This position is responsible for providing guidance and ensuring compliance with management directives to the Team Members on a daily basis in the IQF Area. The position is responsible to assist, train, and encourage Team Members in their area of responsibility. This position is responsible to set up their line(s) for production and any other duties assigned by Management. This position will be able to complete each job in the IQF area. This position is also required to complete various log sheets. This position will be exposed to possible cold temperatures and wet conditions. This position will require walking, bending, standing and lifting up to 70 pounds on a frequent basis.

Requirements

Must have a minimum of 6 months work experience documented on application with one employer.
The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
This position is only slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only.

Responsibilities

Assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by insuring the Supervisor’s instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly.
Monitor all equipment to insure it is working properly and notify the supervisor of any needed maintenance.
Maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Maintain and promote the Tyson safety culture.
Receive training as required.
Perform various positions as required/assigned.
Providing guidance and ensuring compliance with management directives to the Team Members on a daily basis.
Assist, train, and encourage Team Members in their area of responsibility.
Set up their line(s) for production.
Complete each job in the IQF area.
Complete various log sheets.
