About The Position
This position is for an IP Litigation / Life Sciences Associate in Washington, DC. The role requires prior work experience in a biotechnology practice and a degree in a life sciences technology area. The firm is seeking independent thinkers with the capacity to assume increasing responsibility in a highly successful litigation practice. Candidates will need strong research, writing, and analytic skills, the ability to manage and mentor junior associates, strong management and organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Ideal candidates will have prior experience handling and preferably managing Hatch-Waxman, biosimilar, or competitor pharmaceutical cases in district court or before the PTAB. Strong academic credentials from an accredited law school are required, and candidates must be admitted to the state bar of their preferred office location.
Requirements
- Prior work experience in a biotechnology practice
- Degree in a life sciences technology area (biochemistry, biology, chemistry, biomedical science, chemical engineering, molecular biology, pharmacy, or the like)
- Strong research, writing, and analytic skills
- Ability to manage and mentor more junior associates
- Strong management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and creatively
- Ability to work successfully as part of a team
- Strong academic credentials from an accredited law school
