They are seeking an Investment Banking Associate to join their Services & Industrials team in Birmingham, MI. This role will concentrate on transactions within the residential and commercial services sector. The associate will play a significant role in M&A, debt, equity, and equity-linked transactions, including preparing valuations, writing memorandums, conducting M&A analyses, and participating in due diligence and drafting for public offerings. The position involves structuring and executing transactions, serving as a backup for key client relationships, acting as a primary contact for some clients, and taking on new business responsibilities. The work environment is described as collaborative, demanding, fast-paced, and entrepreneurial.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years of investment banking experience or closely related experience
- Prior experience involving financial analysis and M&A transaction execution
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to develop internal and external relationships
- Strong knowledge of accounting and financial modeling
- Highly motivated, team player with an ability to learn in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Prepare valuations
- Write memorandums for company sale assignments and private placements
