About The Position

Wilbert’s is seeking an Inventory Specialist to help produce automotive parts inventory for sale and delivery. The role involves identifying, assessing, documenting, organizing, and preparing parts and merchandise for storage or shipment. Previous experience is beneficial but not required; training and equipment are provided. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, and reports to the Inventory Manager.

Requirements

Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
High school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience or knowledge in the automotive industry.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods; use hands; and talk or hear.
Ability to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
Ability to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds; use lifting devices or assistance for heavier merchandise.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in the automotive industry; experience is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

Use in-vehicle diagnostics and observation to determine which parts can be added to inventory, following established processes and best practices.
Decode vehicle VINs using online tools.
Identify automotive parts and specifications using industry-specific tools and research.
Photograph automotive parts for documentation.
Use light mechanical tools.
Audit automotive parts and merchandise to ensure quality standards and resolve discrepancies using company software.
Assess and describe part condition according to industry guidelines.
Organize merchandise efficiently and clearly in inventory.
Prepare parts and merchandise for storage or shipment by bagging, tagging, wrapping, and packaging them to prevent damage.
Follow safety policies and procedures.
