About The Position

The Inventory Specialist partners with the customer onsite to provide Grainger inventory management services aligned with Grainger or the customer’s internal processes. This role serves as a dedicated customer service resource for a specific customer and manages indirect inventory at the customer’s location. Responsibilities may include managing Grainger and non-Grainger inventory in a customer tool crib using Grainger or customer-specific software and processes.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 3 years of experience in a related field or equivalent.
Ability to lift 25 to 60 pounds.
Willingness to work in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

Manage and stock the customer’s Grainger and non-Grainger inventory through KeepStock programs and crib management.
Support the customer’s inventory management and product procurement processes by integrating indirect inventory into the customer’s product processes each day.
Resolve customer problems promptly to provide excellent service and retain and promote customer loyalty.
Perform product searches and selections with customer end users onsite.
Provide quotes in response to customer requests.
Prepare specialized reports requested by the customer.
