About The Position

The Inventory Specialist maintains accurate inventory at the dispensary, supports sales by keeping online and in-store menus current and stocked, and ensures compliance with AYR policies and regulatory requirements. The role reports to the Retail Inventory Manager and the Dispensary Store Manager.

The position involves maintaining inventory records, reconciling counts and state-system information, managing product tags and paperwork, and keeping inventory and store areas clean, organized, safe, and ready for guests. The work may occur across several locations, including a cannabis cultivation and production facility.

Requirements

• Ability to collaborate and work with others, as well as work with limited supervision.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Meet the age requirement established by state cannabis agencies.
• Pass background checks and fingerprinting required by state cannabis agencies.
• Provide valid badging or credentials required by state cannabis agencies.
• High school diploma or GED required; an equivalent combination of work and education experience is accepted.
• 1–3 years of experience in a retail environment.
• Ability to lift at least 20 pounds and stand for long periods, sit, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory counts through daily counts and reconciliations as needed.
• Ensure products are tagged according to state and local regulations and accompanied by required paperwork.
• Reconcile inventory information to confirm it is accurately reported to the state system and identify malfunctions.
• Keep shop and storage areas clean, organized, and accessible.
• Maintain delivery records and invoices according to the General Manager’s instructions and state regulations.
• Ensure items meet required quality standards and specifications.
• Generate purchase orders or transfers to fulfill sales order requirements.
• Run and maintain inventory-level reports.
• Keep all store areas, including restrooms, clean, safe, and guest-ready.
