About The Position

This recruitment aims to fill (1) Career Service Inventory Purchasing Specialist II vacancy at the Brightwater Treatment Plant. This is an opportunity to support front line workers that protect the environment and keep wastewater infrastructure operating optimally. King County Wastewater Treatment Division inventory purchasing specialists manages over 15,000 unique parts in our secured stores to be available when requested and provides procurement services to the trades(crafts) for all other non-inventory items. This position is responsible for overall material readiness of all equipment at the Brightwater WWTP through the procurement and dispensing of critical spare parts and materials. Requirements

  • Knowledge of basic warehousing equipment and supplies
  • Knowledge of heavy duty and industrial parts
  • Skill in the use of personal computers, word processors and database management software
  • Skill in operating forklift and other material handling equipment
  • Skill in interpreting and evaluating manuals and catalogs
