This position is responsible for purchasing inventory and services supporting a heavy duty truck/construction equipment shop. This lead position procures specialized services and non-stock items, provides cost analysis, and recommends strategies for finding alternative supply sources, ensuring customer needs are met while controlling costs. This position will also work with contracts department to monitor, research, gather information, and support the facilitation of renewing, and/or initiating purchasing agreements. This position will prepare, review, and monitor inventory bid specifications. In addition, this position will plan and organize work unit's schedule as well as deliver training and oversee staff, approve time sheets and coordinate assignments and tasks. KCSWD operates the Cedar Hills Regional Landfill, ten transfer facilities, nine closed landfills, and many programs to design out waste and pollution, keep products and materials in use and regenerate natural systems.
