This role seeks a driven Inventory Manager to define and steer the inventory policy for the Beyond Road business line, involving all time horizon planning and responsible for cascading the inventory policy to support the business. The position is key in advancing Michelin’s commitment to people, profit, and the planet through data-driven inventory management processes. Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in supply chain management with progressive leadership career growth.
  • Experience as a Leader of leaders, one who knows how to manage complex Team environments.
  • Ability to work transparently within cross-functional teams and engage various stakeholders across the Business Line supply chain and other Michelin Group entities, especially Sales.
  • Strong presentation and effective verbal communication skills required.
  • Ability to understand complex cross-functional challenges, conduct in-depth analyses, and lead problem-solving initiatives.
  • High level of autonomy and proactivity in identifying opportunities and implementing solutions.
  • Unwavering commitment to mentorship and Team development.
  • Commitment to supporting colleagues and resolving issues that directly impact customer satisfaction.
  • Motivation to thrive in an international environment and adapt to diverse cultural and business contexts.
  • Proficiency in English—primarily spoken and ideally written—is essential for effective communication with international stakeholders.

  • Willingness to regularly adjust working hours/availability to participate in virtual meetings across different time zones.
  • Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering or related field.
  • International mobility required as you advance your Michelin career.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a 5-year inventory strategic plan based on targeted service levels while optimizing costs to serve and inventory levels.
  • Cascade this strategy into actionable and accessible yearly progress plans to lead / animate / coordinate.
  • Guarantee inventory data quality and steer progress / improvement to be made on the data & BI tools.
  • Contribute and challenge the design of value chains to ensure consistency with our tactical and strategic inventory plan.
  • Strong collaboration with the ecosystem is expected (Supply Chain partners at LB level and at regional level, Marketing & Sales partners).
  • Consolidate global inventory for the business line (Financial view and Supply Chain view).
  • Define and set up tactical and operational norms for each inventory component.
  • Ensure consistency between operational and tactical norms and inventory targets.
  • Collaborate with partners in Regions and Industry to analyze service levels vs. inventory levels vs. targets and take the necessary measures.
  • Manage inventory quality (excess / deficit) and coordinate with our partners the launch of relevant corrective actions.
  • Monitor inactive inventory, coordinate with the regions to understand the root causes.
  • Ensure that preventive and corrective actions are launched.
  • Contribute from an inventory expert point of view to transversal progress plan within the LB or deployed by the Group (DOSC).
  • Use impact and influence skills to ensure the best equilibrium between service level & cash optimization throughout the organization.
  • Act as a coach throughout the entire Beyond Road organization to ensure concepts and stakes on inventory are well understood.
