Inventory Coordinator: 1.0 FTE: Day Shift
About The Position
The Inventory Coordinator maintains sufficient inventory of supplies to meet customer needs and coordinates the daily activities of the Supply Chain team. The role ensures supply processes—including receiving, distribution, and inventory management—are completed in a timely and accurate manner. The coordinator assists with implementation of system and regional value analysis team supply standardization and serves as an inventory consultant in reporting on all UPH-Meriter supply inventories and service lines. The position is listed as 1.0 FTE on a day shift, with hours from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Requirements
- Associate degree or three years of equivalent experience in an inventory management position.
- Fluency in reading, writing, speaking, and comprehending English.
- At least three years of experience as a hospital or retail purchasing assistant, or progressive experience in a hospital purchasing area.
- Experience with an automated inventory system.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for timely completion of job responsibilities.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively to negotiate purchases.
- Spatial perception to plan supply storage.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience in analytics, including understanding the healthcare industry, gathering report requirements, and designing and implementing solutions.
- Experience analyzing data and with accounting and/or financial procedures.
