About The Position

The Inventory Control Supervisor assists with inventory accuracy and tracking, item transitions, allocation, demand planning, and scheduling. This role supervises employees conducting inventory functions, including physical inventory, cycle counts, inventory adjustments, and SKU relocation using a WMS, RF scanning, and an ERP system. The supervisor leads the team to improve inventory and picking accuracy and efficiency and to manage company inventory effectively. The supervisor leads day-to-day operations in an assigned area, supports staffing and scheduling, communicates with team leads and associates, and helps develop employees and future leaders. The role also promotes safety, culture, morale, and operational improvement, and serves as a backup for the manager when needed.

Experience with inventory systems such as WMS, RF scan guns, and ERP systems.
Ability to work in various temperature conditions.
Ability to lift and/or move objects up to 70 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Business Administration or equivalent degree preferred; strong work experience may be accepted in place of a degree.
Experience operating equipment beyond manual pallet jacks.

Responsibilities

Lead the day-to-day operations and activities of facilities and programs in an assigned area.
Solicit performance feedback from team leads and the associate supervisor, and take corrective action when needed.
Participate in recruitment, hiring, promotion, and termination processes as needed.
Work with the manager to maintain appropriate staffing levels and set schedules according to workload.
Serve as a backup in the manager’s absence.
Foster associate morale through feedback, recognition, and rewards.
Conduct or delegate shift start-up meetings and communicate updates on culture, safety, production, accuracy, recognition, and facility or HR matters.
Lead the performance review process and enter ratings in PEAK.
Provide timely ongoing communication to team leads and associates.
Create overall shift schedules and serve as backup for the manager.
Act as the final payroll approver in Kronos.
Identify warehouse process improvements that do not add financial burden.
Develop employees’ skills to meet warehouse standards and regulations, and identify and grow future team leaders.
Provide ongoing formal and informal feedback and lead annual performance evaluations to identify and develop talent.
Recommend employee corrective actions, including termination.
Establish operational strategy and activities to support consistent achievement of area goals.
Maintain and enforce a clean and safe working environment, drive safety and culture, and hold team members accountable for compliance, including safety incident reporting and protocols.
