About The Position

The Inventory Control and Quality Assurance (ICQA) Specialist performs cycle counts of warehouse floor-pick and reserve locations using computers, handheld devices, forms, and other appropriate tools. The role may also include product, lot, and date-code verification, paperwork audits, and handling obsolete inventory. The specialist conducts inventory counts and system updates, researches problem pallets and unlocated inventory, validates product dating, audits inbound receiving, and investigates inventory variances. The position also responds to buyer requests for item checks and internal code-to-code transfers, and coordinates obsolete and at-risk inventory, including vendor returns, donations, and recalls. The role is based in warehouse environments that include refrigerated areas of approximately 28°F to 60°F and freezer areas of approximately -20°F to 0°F. Training is paid at $19.00 per hour. The listed schedule is 8:30 a.m. until work is completed on a rotating schedule; the posting also lists a 1st shift and describes a perishable schedule of 7:00 p.m. until work is completed.

Requirements

Two to five years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, pull, stoop, grip, carry, and lift objects weighing 20 to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

Conduct accurate cycle counts of warehouse inventory locations using computers, handheld devices, forms, and other appropriate tools, and make system updates as required.
Research and process problem pallets and unlocated inventory; list identified errors on the error log as directed by the supervisor.
Validate product dating in the warehouse and update information as required.
Perform daily audits of inbound receiving, research the root causes of variances, and report errors to Operations partners.
Respond to buyer requests for item checks and internal code-to-code transfers in the warehouse.
Coordinate the handling of obsolete and at-risk inventory, including vendor returns, donations, and recalls, by identifying, communicating, adjusting, and validating product.
Research and resolve inventory variances.
Perform other duties as assigned.
