About The Position

The Production Control/Inventory Clerk is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy and integrity. The role performs cycle counts, updates information in the inventory system, and maintains relationships with external warehouses. The position may also involve other duties assigned to support the company's business model, culture, mission, and values.

Requirements

Minimum high school diploma or GED.
Self-directed and self-motivated, with strong problem-solving ability.
Proven ability to perform inventory counts, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
Basic math abilities.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, crouching, stooping, crawling, pulling, pushing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Complete data entry accurately and on time, meeting established timing and accuracy guidelines.
Ensure the accuracy of data and information and work on projects related to maintaining system accuracy.
Initiate regular cycle counts and perform physical inventory counts.
Work with department managers to reconcile physical count discrepancies.
Investigate discrepancies, determine their causes, and make corrections as necessary.
Monitor system integrity, including stock codes and cycle count parameters.
Reconcile monthly inventory reports.
Work with warehouses to address inventory discrepancies and correct inventory as required.
Produce reports describing the causes of inventory discrepancies.
Maintain positive and professional relationships with warehouses.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the company's business model, culture, mission, and values.
