About The Position
The Inventory Clerk maintains the integrity and accuracy of inventory values by keeping inventory records updated while inventory remains in the store. The role includes regular inventory counts, research into inventory changes, and correction of point-of-sale errors. The clerk is expected to communicate and work with peers and management, participate in monthly meetings and development reviews, meet the company’s on-site attendance standards, and may be asked to support operations at M&D locations other than their home store.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be able to work 37 to 40 hours per week.
- Skills include time management, multitasking, complex problem solving, organization, reliability, attention to detail, concentration, and teamwork.
- Must be able to communicate with peers and provide verbal progress reports to management.
- Must be able to work patiently with peers and management to identify problems and find maintainable solutions.
- Must be willing to continue learning and increase knowledge as technology changes.
- Must demonstrate integrity, ethical conduct, accountability, respect, and commitment-keeping.
- Must recognize group goals, support them, accept differing points of view, respect team members, and build relationships.
- Must be able to identify items, view a terminal, and analyze data.
- Must be able to operate POS/Eagle Browser, computers, and security systems.
- Must be able to use Eagle Browser, OpenOffice, Microsoft Excel and Word, a phone, email, and Smartsheet.
Responsibilities
- Complete Mango counts each month.
- Complete Negative QOH counts each day.
- Complete a section of Outs each week.
- Research all inventory changes.
- Attend the Mango meeting each month.
- Correct POS errors identified during inventory research.
- Meet monthly with the supervisor to discuss personal development, address issues, and review progress toward goals.
- Meet the company’s on-site attendance standards as outlined in the handbook.
- Support operations at M&D locations other than the home store when asked.
- Perform other tasks as determined by management.
