About The Position

The Inventory Clerk inventories, stocks, and delivers requisitioned supplies throughout the hospital, supporting clinical professionals while helping manage hospital expenses. The position restocks par locations, processes supply requests, maintains Stat Room supplies and organization, and assists receiving staff during peak periods or staff absences. The role is onsite at Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital, Inc., and is per diem with a rotating shift. It does not require patient care.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
Previous experience preferred.
Basic computer skills are helpful.
Adhere to all I C.A.R.E. Standards.

Responsibilities

Restock par locations with products ordered that day.
Scan each par location daily and transmit orders no later than 11:00 a.m.
Charge requesting departments for items taken directly from the Stat Room.
Process and deliver phone requests within 45 minutes unless otherwise noted, and follow up with the requesting department when there is an exception.
Deliver supplies to assigned floors.
Assist with restocking Stat Room supplies as items are received.
Advise the Supervisor of stockouts and changes in usage.
Support Receiving Clerks during peak times, vacation, and time off.
Participate in the annual inventory and random cycle counts.
Rotate products and check expiration dates.
Keep the Stat Room clean and orderly; sweep the floor daily and dispose of cardboard boxes.
Contact the Supervisor or Security department about safety issues or unknown persons in the area.
Secure the overhead receiving door at the end of the evening shift by turning off the power and locking it; lock the door to the back corridor as well.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor and/or Manager.
