Requirements

  • Completion of approved American College of Radiology Technologist Program
  • Two years related experience
  • Certificate of Medical Imaging Modality
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
  • AZ state license
  • Medical Radiologic Technologist Board of Examiners (MRTBE)
  • BLS- American Heart Association

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, producing high-quality images for accurate diagnosis and treatment.
  • Operate complex equipment while ensuring patient safety.
  • Interact with patients, explain procedures, position them correctly, and monitor their well-being.
  • Maintain records and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals for optimal care.
  • Set up of Interventional procedure according to physician preference, standards of care and hospital protocol.
  • Ensure exam order, work station system, equipment and patient is ready when physician arrives.
  • Maintain competency in angiography/intervention suites, myelography/spine multipurpose room and intra-operative angiography equipment.
  • Maintain competency in ancillary equipment such as injector, CO2 contrast set up, angio-jet, penumbra and other thrombectomy devices.
  • Accurately and proficiently perform complex exams such as neuro embolizations, cerebral vascular attacks, litic/vasospasm infusions, TIPS, uterine fibroid embolizations, chemo embolizations, run-offs, CO2 angiograms, gamma knife and 3-D rendering.
  • Assist the physician and associates before and during procedures as requested.
