About The Position

This is an imaging position requiring an active x-ray license and experience in either interventional radiology or cath lab. The role is located in Carbondale, IL, within the Interventional Radiology department. The contract is for 13 weeks with an ongoing need anticipated. The position involves on-call duties, up to 10 days per month when fully staffed, but initially 2 days per week. Hours per shift are flexible between 8 or 10 hours, with shift start times varying between 7-9 AM. Currently, there are no weekend requirements, but Saturday or Sunday call may be added soon. Documentation is done using EPIC, and the department is installing a new Siemens IR suite. Candidates may assist with general xray when no IR procedures are scheduled.

Requirements

• Active Illinois x-ray license from IEMA
• Board-certified xray technologist through ARRT
• Interventional Radiology or cath lab experience
• Current CPR/BLS Card
• ACLS
• NIHSS

Nice To Haves

• Interventional radiology certification is not necessary, but a candidate with cath lab experience can be easily trained.

Responsibilities

• Perform interventional radiology procedures.
• Assist with general xray when no IR procedures are scheduled.
