About The Position

This is a 12-week travel assignment for an Interventional Radiology Technologist in Columbia, Missouri. The role involves providing imaging support for minimally invasive, image-guided procedures in a hospital-type environment. The technologist will work in the Interventional Radiology department, assisting radiologists and other team members with various IR cases, including neuro IR and GI embolization. The position requires participation in on-call rotations for weeknights and weekends, including stroke coverage.

Requirements

• 2 years of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience
• ARRT R.T.(R) certification
• ARRT VI, CV, or CI certification
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire
• Must have experience with neuro IR cases and be prepared to take call for stroke coverage
• GI embolization experience
• Ability to work in a hospital setting and participate in on-call rotations

Responsibilities

• Prepare and screen patients, maintain a sterile field, and assist with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures in interventional radiology.
• Operate specialized imaging equipment, monitor patients during procedures, and administer contrast under supervision; uphold radiation safety standards.
• Assist radiologists and other team members during routine and emergency IR cases; manage equipment, supplies, and procedure documentation.
• Monitor patient status before, during, and after procedures; respond to emergencies and changes in patient condition as needed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support other imaging modalities such as X-ray; participate in student training as assigned.
