About The Position

The VAMC in Oklahoma City, OK is seeking an Interventional Radiologist to provide coverage for staff shortages. The position involves performing a full scope of Interventional Radiology procedures as per ACR guidelines. The anticipated start date is mid-June/early July, with coverage needed for one year, followed by four option years. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with an average 1:3 call rotation. The role requires charting using EMR – CPRS and involves treating adult patients.

Requirements

  • Board Certified
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • DEA
  • Fellowship trained in Interventional Radiology
  • Any State License

Responsibilities

  • Providing Interventional Radiology procedures, including arterial diagnostic & interventional (PTA, stents, thrombolysis, embolization, TACE, stent grafts, foreign body removal)
  • Providing Interventional Radiology procedures, including venous diagnostic & interventional (TIPS, thrombectomy, filters, portal vein embolization, venous access)
  • Performing venous access procedures (tunneled/non-tunneled catheters)
  • Performing additional IR procedures per ACR guidelines
  • Maintaining moderate sedation competency
  • Ensuring MRI and fluoroscopy safety compliance
