About The Position

Interventional Procedures Technologist - Cardiac Cath Lab at Glenbrook Hospital. This is a Full-Time position (40hrs/wk) with 4 10-hour shifts starting at either 6:30 or 7 AM, rotating weekends and on-call. Some travel between north region sites may be required as needed. Requirements

  • Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
  • Associate’s degree in an allied health field or higher bachelor’s degree.
  • ACLS certification required or must be obtained within 12 months of start date.

Nice To Haves

  • RCIS, VI or RCES certification preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of procedural experience in Neuroscience, Catheterization Lab or Interventional Radiology preferred; other healthcare-related experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients, procedure rooms, sterile and nonsterile equipment, catheters and other technology for diagnostic and invasive procedures.
  • Assist physicians during coronary, peripheral, structural heart and other interventional procedures, including vascular access and device placement.
  • Perform scrub assist and circulating responsibilities while providing hemodynamic monitoring, EKG interpretation and procedural documentation.
  • Operate and troubleshoot specialized interventional equipment and assist with fluoroscopy, digital imaging, data acquisition and processing.
  • Provide post-procedure care, including hemostasis and access-site management, and recognize and respond appropriately to complications and emergency situations.
