About The Position

Interventional Procedures Technologist - Cardiac Cath Lab at Glenbrook Hospital. This is a Full-Time position (40hrs/wk) with 4 10-hour shifts starting at either 6:30 or 7 AM, rotating weekends and on-call. Some travel between north region sites may be required as needed. Requirements

Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
Associate’s degree in an allied health field or higher bachelor’s degree.
ACLS certification required or must be obtained within 12 months of start date.

Nice To Haves

RCIS, VI or RCES certification preferred.
Minimum of one year of procedural experience in Neuroscience, Catheterization Lab or Interventional Radiology preferred; other healthcare-related experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients, procedure rooms, sterile and nonsterile equipment, catheters and other technology for diagnostic and invasive procedures.
Assist physicians during coronary, peripheral, structural heart and other interventional procedures, including vascular access and device placement.
Perform scrub assist and circulating responsibilities while providing hemodynamic monitoring, EKG interpretation and procedural documentation.
Operate and troubleshoot specialized interventional equipment and assist with fluoroscopy, digital imaging, data acquisition and processing.
Provide post-procedure care, including hemostasis and access-site management, and recognize and respond appropriately to complications and emergency situations.
