The Interventional Procedures Assistant in the Cath Lab performs a variety of tasks to support the procedural team (physicians, registered nurses, and radiologic technologists) before, during, and after procedures. This role involves preparing sterile and non-sterile equipment, catheters, and technology. The assistant will act as a scrub assist, aiding the physician and Radiology Technologist in circulating the procedure, setting up equipment, obtaining necessary items, and managing product. Additionally, the role involves assisting the physician with vascular access, central venous line placement, and drain placement, as well as managing and restocking supplies. The job requires a medium to high energy level, with the ability to lift and carry 40-50 lbs and push/pull 150-200 lbs.
