About The Position

Seeking an Interventional Cardiologist for a locum tenens position in Hattiesburg, MS. This inpatient role involves clinical duties and call coverage from September 21-24, 2026, with potential for ongoing coverage. The average daily patient volume is 20, with approximately 3 admissions. Rounding includes both assigned and unassigned patients, and phone consults average 2 per day. The facility utilizes Cerner EMR and is supported by a team of RNs, MAs, PAs/NPs, and office staff. Temporary privileges are available.

Requirements

• Board Certified (BC) in Interventional Cardiology.
• Licensed in Mississippi (MS) or possess an IMLC.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical coverage for Interventional Cardiology patients.
• Participate in call rotation (2nd Call/Backup) with a 1:1 ratio and a 30-minute response time.
• Round on both assigned and unassigned patients.
• Handle phone consults.
