Interventional Cardiologist
About The Position
We are seeking an Interventional Cardiologist for locum tenens coverage in Fort Smith, AR. This inpatient role requires call-only coverage for interventional cardiology cases, including STEMI and emergency cardiology cases. The physician will manage STEMI and emergency cardiology cases with rapid response and perform interventional procedures as required. Collaboration with the hospitalist service for admissions is expected, with no admissions unless STEMI. The coverage period is ASAP – Ongoing, with a call schedule of Monday – Friday, 5 days per month. This is an in-house call position with a 1:1 call ratio and a response time of 1 hour (in-house) or under 30 minutes for Emergency/STEMI.
Requirements
- BC in Interventional Cardiology
- Active AR license
- BLS, ACLS, ATLS certifications
- Clean record
- Clean NPDB report
Responsibilities
- Provide interventional cardiology coverage for inpatient consults and procedures.
- Manage STEMI and emergency cardiology cases with rapid response.
- Perform interventional procedures as required.
- Collaborate with hospitalist service for admissions (no admissions unless STEMI).
