About The Position

The Cardiovascular Institute and the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) are seeking two super fellow candidates. The Structural Heart Interventional Cardiology Super Fellow is an advanced trainee who has completed an accredited interventional cardiology fellowship and is pursuing specialized expertise in structural heart disease interventions as a part of the Advanced Structural Heart Disease Fellowship program at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. This role focuses on the evaluation and management of patients with complex valvular and structural cardiac conditions and is through June 2027.

Requirements

Completion of an accredited interventional cardiology fellowship.
Eligibility for board certification in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology.
Possession of or eligibility for Commonwealth of Massachusetts medical licensure.
Strong procedural skills.
Advanced clinical judgment.
Commitment to innovation and patient-centered care.

Nice To Haves

Expected to qualify for the level of Instructor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School (HMS).

Responsibilities

Performing and assisting in advanced structural procedures such as transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), transcatheter edge-to-edge repair (e.g., MitraClip), left atrial appendage occlusion, and other catheter-based structural interventions.
Participating in structural heart clinics, imaging review, and multidisciplinary heart team discussions.
Contributing to procedural planning and peri-procedural management.
Supervising junior trainees.
Participating in catheterization laboratory operations.
Engaging in academic activities such as research, quality improvement, and teaching.
