The Cardiovascular Institute and the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) are seeking a super fellow candidate. The General Cardiology Super Fellow is an advanced trainee who has completed a cardiology fellowship and is refining expertise in comprehensive cardiovascular care while pursuing dedicated research training under a T32-funded program. This role combines high-level clinical responsibilities with protected time for mentored research and academic development and is through June 2027. Clinical responsibilities include leading consult services, managing complex cardiovascular cases across inpatient and outpatient settings, supervising fellows and residents, and coordinating multidisciplinary care. The Super Fellow plays a key role in teaching, mentoring, and delivering high-quality, evidence-based care. Research responsibilities include conducting hypothesis-driven investigation under T32 support, participating in structured research training, and contributing to scholarly output such as abstracts, presentations, and peer-reviewed publications. Engagement in quality improvement and guideline implementation is encouraged. Candidates must have completed an accredited cardiology fellowship and be eligible for board certification in cardiovascular disease, as well as have or be eligible for Commonwealth of Massachusetts medical licensure. Strong clinical acumen, a commitment to academic cardiology, and demonstrated interest in research are required. It is expected that the individual would qualify for the level of Instructor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School (HMS).
