About The Position

The University of Southern Maine (USM) is seeking an Internship Project Coordinator to join the Career & Employment Hub. This role will support the Career Exploration Internship Program (CEIP), which funds and facilitates internship experiences for students and employer partners. The position involves media production, marketing, event planning, and tracking program outcomes. The coordinator will create print and digital materials, produce success stories (including video), manage social media, maintain program webpages, plan events like intern orientation and networking sessions, assist students with application and interview preparation, and report on program outcomes. The Career & Employment Hub aims to help students and alumni explore career pathways, gain professional experience, and transition into the workforce through advising, employer partnerships, and workshops.

Requirements

• Bachelors or equivalent international degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to travel regularly between USM campuses and throughout southern Maine.

Responsibilities

• Lead the program’s media production and marketing efforts.
• Develop print and digital materials.
• Produce student and employer success stories, including video content.
• Manage social media strategy.
• Maintain program webpages.
• Plan and support key program events each semester: intern orientation, networking events, and final presentations.
• Assist students with internship application and interview preparation.
• Track, evaluate, and report program outcomes.
