The position is based at our Longueuil location; internship from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours and exclusively on-site.

Requirements

  • Be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship.
  • Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable.
  • Pursuing studies in Automated Production, Electrical, Mechanical, or Robotics Engineering or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Knowledge of industrial robots (e.g. Fanuc, ABB & UR)
  • Good knowledge of FANUC (TPP, Karel) and ABB (Rapid) programming languages
  • Knowledge of Roboguide robotic simulation software
  • Experience with safety issues surrounding automated and robotic systems
  • Knowledge of vision and traceability systems (iRVision, Cognex, Keyence)
  • Knowledge of CAD and reading mechanical drawings
  • Good knowledge of PLCs (AB, Siemens)
  • Knowledge of Ladder, VBScript, C, C# and SQL programming languages
  • Experience in interface design (HMI)
  • Working knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Working alongside specialists, engineers or project managers supporting operations, transformations and growing strategies in automation, the candidate will provide technical assistance by carrying out technical analyses and improvements.
  • Feasibility analysis
  • Test plan development and execution
  • Participation in drawing up plans, specifications and tender documents
  • Project updating, coordination and follow-up
  • Drafting of technical documents and reports
  • Develop and industrialize production solutions
  • Carry out investigations for production
  • Drawing up a standard documentation model for equipment
  • Diagnosis of faulty systems
  • Troubleshooting hardware, equipment or software problems related to production lines
  • Impact assessment and solution finding
  • Implementing solutions in line with continuous improvement principles and tools
  • Management and coordination of one-off incidents
  • User training
  • Participation in and promotion of the company's pillars (Environment Health Safety, Ethics and Quality)
