The position is based at our Mirabel location; internship from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours and exclusively on-site. You will work within the automation team within our aeronautical site. Under the supervision of experienced professionals, you will actively participate in the design, development, and implementation of advanced automation solutions to optimize the aeronautical assembly processes. You will be supervised by our team of experienced professionals and will have the chance to participate in stimulating and innovative projects. In addition, you will take part and/or full ownership of Continuous Improvement projects on our Mixed Models State-of-the-art assembly line, following quality and Lean Manufacturing principles. Requirements

  • Be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship.
  • Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable.
  • Pursuing studies in Automated production Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Basic knowledge of programming (ladder, grafcet, etc.)
  • Understanding of basic principles of industrial automation, sensors and actuators.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Although this position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a working knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
  • The selected candidate will be required to complete a criminal background check and any applicable clearances with respect to the handling and transfer of controlled goods. Employment is conditional upon the successful completion of these checks and obtaining the required clearances. Failure to do so will result in the withdrawal of the employment offer.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team members to understand specific automation needs within the site.
  • Participate in the design of automated systems using technologies such as industrial robots, intelligent sensors and control systems.
  • Ensure the successful integration of automation solutions into existing manufacturing processes, working closely with operational teams.
  • Participate in testing, debugging and optimization phases of automated systems to guarantee their optimal performance.
  • Write technical documents describing the implemented solutions, including user manuals and troubleshooting guides.
