About The Position
Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) is a global leader in aerospace innovation, proudly headquartered in Longueuil, Quebec, since 1928. We design and manufacture next-generation aircraft engines that power the world’s largest fleet of business, general aviation, and regional aircraft and helicopters. For nearly 100 years, our teams have been at the forefront of propulsion technology, pushing boundaries to make flight more efficient and reliable. Our engines support missions that truly matter, from transporting people and essential goods, to enabling emergency medical services, humanitarian operations, and wildfire suppression around the world. The candidate will have to manage the procurement of parts coming from internal and external suppliers. They will have to plan the requirements, place the orders, manage the shortages, and communicate priorities to the supplier and to internal customers. They will also have to manage the urgencies related with the engine line in order to avoid potential line stoppage. The candidate will be encouraged to propose and implement creative and robust solutions for procurement issues.
Requirements
- Be eligible to work in Canada
- Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship
- Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable
- Pursuing a degree in Administration, industrial engineering, logistic engineering or supply chain management
- Candidate must be bilingual
- Teamwork & communication skills
- Logistic problem solving
- Leadership skills
- Excellent communication skills in French and English (spoken/written)
- The selected candidate will be required to complete a criminal background check and any applicable clearances with respect to the handling and transfer of controlled goods
Responsibilities
- Manage the relationship and performance of a portfolio of suppliers
- Deliver daily, weekly and monthly outputs as per master build plan
- Responsible for the escalation process on critical path parts
- Lead various process improvement projects
- Provisioning of engine parts from outside vendors in the aftermarket
