The Engine Center Logistics Intern will assist the existing team in defining, maintaining, optimizing, and executing the production plan in order to support line requirements and maximize engine deliveries.

Requirements

  • Be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship.
  • Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable.
  • Pursuing studies in Industrial Engineering or Operations Management.
  • Self-motivated, with strong leadership and well-developed analytical skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of the following computer tools: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access).
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure with competing and changing priorities.
  • Working knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of SAP.
  • Basic knowledge of operations management.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Operations Program Management and Logistics team in their key activities, such as engine deliveries to customers and production readiness.
  • Support assembly line needs, such as line stoppages (ANDON).
  • Coordinate logistics activities with the warehouse.
  • Ensure compliance with engine serialization requirements.
  • Develop programming solutions to improve and automate data collection related to the logistics department.
  • Support continuous improvement projects.
