About The Position

The Intern supports departmental operations within an assigned department while gaining hands-on, practical experience in the healthcare field. Interns work under the supervision of a department leader or designee and contribute to daily operations, projects such as research or strategic initiatives as well as other duties as assigned. Internship program will start on 6/1 and run through 7/31.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Some internships may require a bachelor's degree; or enrolled in and nearing completion of an undergraduate degree or terminal degree in a field relevant to the internship.
Clinical interns may be required to be enrolled in an accredited professional program (e.g., pharmacy, nursing, allied health) and meet regulatory or licensure-related requirements.
Ability to work efficiently, manage time wisely, and follow policies and procedures with minimal supervision.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Demonstrated initiative, professionalism, and willingness to learn.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.

Responsibilities

May assist patients with activities of daily living.
Transports patients, supplies, specimens, equipment, etc. within the facility.
Work under the supervision of a department leader, manager, or licensed professional to complete assigned duties and projects.
Assist with operational, administrative, clinical, or professional tasks aligned with the intern’s academic program and the department needs.
Observe, document, and communicate work progress, findings, or issues to the supervising leader or team.
Interact and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization using appropriate communication methods.
Participate in staff meetings, project meetings, and interdisciplinary discussions as requested.
Proactively seek out learning opportunities, manage time effectively, and appropriately prioritize assignments.
Manage data, conduct research, and prepare reports, summaries, or presentations related to assigned projects.
Follow all organizational policies, procedures, ethical standards, and confidentiality requirements.
