About The Position
This locum tenens Internist position provides clinical-only outpatient primary care to adult and geriatric patients in San Jose, California. The coverage period is November 16, 2026 through February 15, 2027, with a schedule of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The patient volume is approximately 13–19 patients per day. The facility uses Epic. Travel and lodging are not covered.
Requirements
- Active California license.
- Board certification in Internal Medicine.
- DEA registration is required.
- BLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient primary care to adult and geriatric patients.
- Perform comprehensive history and physical examinations.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory work.
- Coordinate patient care with support staff and document in Epic.
