Foreign Pharmacy Grad - International Pharmacy Intern

CVS Health•Newland, NC
•$30 - $42•Onsite

About The Position

CVS Health’s US Non-Accredited Foreign Graduate program provides eligible foreign pharmacy graduates with supervised, mixed-modality training and the opportunity to complete required US internship hours. Participants apply their pharmacy-school learning in real-world practice, build clinical and technical skills, learn pharmacy operations and business performance, and develop leadership capabilities in preparation for a Pharmacist role. The internship must be completed within 18 months. Participants must be prepared to complete the required Pharmacist licensure exams and processes, and obtain pharmacist licensure in the state where the position is based, within 120 days of completing US internship hours. Failure to meet these requirements may result in separation of employment. Under the direction of a preceptor, the intern follows company procedures and pharmacy workflow to support safe, accurate, and timely prescription fulfillment and caring patient service. The role includes learning through hands-on experience, a training roadmap, Key Learning Experiences, and time with district leaders. Interns contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team culture, demonstrate empathy in patient and colleague interactions, and remain flexible to business and scheduling needs, including voluntarily traveling to other stores in the market when needed. Where permitted by law and supported by required training and certification, the intern may provide additional patient health services such as immunizations, point-of-care testing, and offsite clinic staffing. Immunization support may require additional licensure and training to obtain Technician Immunizer status, patient education and information gathering, documentation, and monitoring for and responding to adverse reactions.
