About The Position

CVS Health’s US Non-Accredited Foreign Graduate program gives foreign pharmacy graduates who have passed the FPGEE and TOEFL the opportunity to complete required US internship hours and apply their pharmacy education in retail practice under the direction of a preceptor. Participants follow a mixed-modality learning plan, hands-on training roadmap, and Key Learning Experiences to develop pharmacy practice, patient care, business, and leadership skills in preparation for a Pharmacist role. Participants assist pharmacy teams with safe, accurate, and timely prescription fulfillment, patient service, and smooth pharmacy operations. They learn and apply company standard operating procedures, best practices, effective communication, and relevant laws and professional standards. The internship must be completed within 18 months, and participants must be prepared to complete required pharmacist licensure exams and processes within 120 days after finishing required US internship hours. Failure to meet these requirements will result in separation of employment. Where permitted by law and supported by the necessary training and certification, interns may provide additional patient health services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing. They may also support vaccine preparation and administration after meeting applicable state training and licensure requirements. The role requires regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends, and flexibility to work at the home store or other market locations as business needs require.
