CVS Health•Frederick, MD
•Onsite

About The Position

CVS Health’s US Non-Accredited Foreign Graduate program gives eligible foreign pharmacy graduates the opportunity to complete required US internship hours and apply pharmacy-school learning in retail practice in preparation for a Pharmacist role. After passing the FPGEE and TOEFL, interns follow a mixed-modality learning plan under the direction of a preceptor, including hands-on experience, a training roadmap, Key Learning Experiences, and time with district leaders. The program develops pharmacy practice and patient-care knowledge, business acumen, and leadership skills. Interns must complete their internship within 18 months and are expected to complete and pass required pharmacist licensure exams and processes within 120 days after completing their US internship hours. In CVS retail pharmacies, the intern supports pharmacy operations and helps ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring patient service. The role involves following standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow, communicating effectively, and contributing to a safe, inclusive team culture. Interns may support additional patient-care services, including immunizations, point-of-care testing, and offsite clinics, when legally permitted and appropriately trained. Where permitted, interns may also pursue Technician Immunizer status and support vaccine preparation and administration.
