The International Pharmacy Intern role is for a graduate of a non-US-accredited pharmacy school who has passed the FPGEE and TOEFL and is eligible to complete required US internship hours. Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, the intern supports a safe, effective retail pharmacy environment and provides patient and customer care while developing the knowledge and skills needed for pharmacist licensure. The mixed-modality learning plan builds on the candidate’s pharmacy education and includes experience in patient care, practice management, leadership, and education. The required internship must be completed within 18 months, and required pharmacist licensure exams and processes must be completed within 120 days after the US internship hours are completed. The intern contributes to patient safety, professional pharmacy practice, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, customer service, inventory management, and workflow management, excluding final prescription verification. Duties include greeting and assisting customers, processing prescriptions, maintaining confidentiality and compliance, supporting inventory and pharmacy operations, and assisting with patient-care services as permitted by state regulation and individual certification. The role also supports pharmacy leadership and the development of pharmacy support staff. This is a full-time position eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, retirement savings options, wellness programs, and other resources, based on eligibility. The typical pay range is $30.00–$42.00.
