About The Position

This student employment position in the International Admissions Office is for the Academic Year 26/27. The role involves serving as a guide and resource for prospective, newly admitted, and current international students, both virtually and on-campus. Responsibilities include participating in events, assisting campus visitors, handling phone and email inquiries, aiding with transcript evaluation, creating social media content, supporting online peer-to-peer engagement, and contributing to ongoing projects within the office. The position is classified as Non-Federal Work Study.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in Quinnipiac’s undergraduate or graduate studies
  • Positively promote the Quinnipiac community by sharing stories of your experience comfortably and confidently.
  • Be able to provide a welcoming and helpful atmosphere to individuals from a wide range of cultural and language backgrounds.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills.
  • Exhibit a professional attitude; demonstrate a willingness to lead, solve problems, and collaborate as a team player.
  • Prompt response to all office communications (email, Google Calendar invitations, Zoom, etc.).
  • Strong desire to help new international students.
  • Self-motivated

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a guide and resource to prospective, newly admitted, and current international students, whether virtually or on-campus.
  • Participate in live or virtual events and/or information sessions, as needed.
  • Assist with international campus visitors as well as answer phone and email inquiries to the International Student Admissions email and forward specific email inquiries to Admissions and OISS staff.
  • Assist with transcript evaluation through formulas and resources.
  • Create promotional material for social media platforms.
  • Support online peer-to-peer engagement with prospective students via a live chat platform and other technical platforms.
  • Contribute to new and ongoing project work that advances the work of the Office of International Admissions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
