About The Position

Join The Oregon Clinic as a full-time (36 hours per week) Internal Medicine Registered Nurse Level 1 at our Broadway Medical Clinic in Northeast Portland. Requirements

  • Current Oregon state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current CPR/BLS within 60 days of hire. ACLS may be required by specialty.
  • Excellent attendance and work ethic.
  • Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and other team members.
  • A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience is strongly preferred.
  • Epic experience is a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Providing professional nursing care for clinic patients under the direction of a Physician(s) and within their scope of practice according to the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
  • Working directly with physicians and staff in coordinating excellent patient care, functioning as the primary liaison between patients, staff, and physicians.
  • Performing patient assessment and triage, either in person or over the phone, and documenting all encounters for provider review, flagging any urgent concerns.
  • Performing clinical care in accordance with nursing standards within the specialty, which may include taking vitals, recording and verifying medications, wound care, phlebotomy, injections, and administering treatments.
  • Assisting providers with routine procedures/surgeries.
  • Providing patient and families health education.
  • Ordering prescription refills according to clinic protocol.
  • Assisting physicians with procedures according to prescribed standards and anticipating physician needs.
  • Ordering and maintaining medical inventory of supplies as needed.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
