About The Position

The Internal Audit IT Intern assists in testing financial, accounting, and operational controls across business and IT systems. The internship provides hands-on project work and professional development, including weekly sessions led by industry leaders and opportunities to connect with other interns and learn about the financial services, technology, and mortgage industries. Interns must work full-time, five days a week, at the Atlanta office throughout one of the designated program schedules: May 24–August 6 or June 7–August 20, 2027. Candidates select their preferred session during the application process; partial participation and alternate dates are not accommodated.

Requirements

• Be currently enrolled in a degree program at an accredited university and advancing to at least junior year, or be a recent graduate.
• Pursue a degree in IT Audit, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Have previous accounting and finance coursework.
• Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills.
• Have previous experience using MS Office tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

• Strong interest in learning coding and data analytics techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing of IT general and application controls to support Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
• Participate in annual walkthroughs to understand key systems and processes.
• Engage with management on identified issues and help document remediation plans.
• Provide team leads with regular updates on testing results and status.
• Collaborate with team members and business partners on projects that support functional areas and drive value.
