About The Position

Works with the Senior Sales Managers & Service Manager to develop overall departmental plans, goals, departmental practices/processes, and performance standards (i.e. safety requirements on all vehicles retailed, productivity, quality control, workflow processes, turnaround times of 72 hours, etc.). Develop and documents applicable procedures for used vehicle reconditioning activities. Conduct an initial "intake inspection and estimate" of all used vehicle trade-ins and auction purchases to determine the applicable reconditioning efforts to be undertaken. Conduct an initial "open recall campaigns" on all vehicles using Home | Safercar -- National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Strive to meet the company standard of turnaround time of 72 hours of vehicles being placed on the lot for sale. Break down reconditioning estimates to ensure labor and parts pricing is accurate before any reconditioning is started. Ensure you make Service and Sales Managers aware of time allotments, financial investment to be made in the vehicle, and the specific quality expectations. Perform quality control checks throughout the reconditioning process and coordinate with the Sales and Service Managers to ensure the vehicle meets the desired corporate safety and quality standard. Keep post-sale policy adjustments or after sale work to a minimum. Coordinates used vehicle descriptions (i.e., customized comments) and picture-taking for internet postings with the Marketing Department. Regularly review and report to the Sales Manager & Service Manager the results of the services provided by all Service Departments, the Detail Department, and outside vendor's productivity and quality results. Responsible to know where all vehicles are at all times in the process. Supports and encourages a results-driven, values-based, sales and service culture throughout the organization. Contributes toward effective team problem solving with other employees and management. Consistently demonstrates corporate values; encourages and coaches others to consistently demonstrate corporate values and meet performance expectation. Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence.
  • High School graduate or equivalent, 18 years or older required.
