Internal Communication Advisor

IntelcomMontreal, QC

About The Position

Intelcom | Dragonfly is Canada’s leader in last-mile logistics, with over 100 sorting stations and operations across three continents. Our vision is to deliver fast, accurate, and reliable service powered by cutting-edge technology. This strategic role is at the heart of logistics, responsible for designing and delivering integrated internal communications plans that support business objectives. The advisor will partner with leaders across the organization, create audience-first content in various formats (written, visual, video, short-form) for both desk-based and frontline employees, and act as a trusted communications advisor. Key responsibilities include owning the editorial direction of the corporate intranet (SharePoint Online), managing the digital channel ecosystem (Microsoft Teams, Viva Engage, email, digital signage, mobile channels), using AI-assisted workflows responsibly, building digital communities, measuring engagement and sentiment, ensuring accessibility and Quebec French-language requirements, and staying ahead of industry trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, change management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in internal communications or employee engagement, ideally in logistics, high-tech, manufacturing, or other fast-paced, distributed environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English.
  • A talent for translating complex, fast-changing business priorities into clear, engaging messages for varied audiences.
  • Hands-on fluency with generative AI tools for content creation, editing, and content operations; including sound judgment about when and how to use them.
  • Strong command of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, particularly SharePoint Online, Teams, and Viva Engage; experience running a large corporate intranet.
  • A measurement mindset: comfort with channel analytics, KPIs, and using data to iterate.
  • Proven ability to run multiple projects at once with strong organization, attention to detail, and respect for timelines and governance.
  • Autonomy, adaptability, and a collaborative, continuous-improvement approach.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience communicating with frontline or deskless workforces (drivers, warehouse, operations).
  • Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp) and digital signage content management.
  • Working knowledge of graphic design, video editing, or digital content creation tools.
  • Experience supporting change management or organizational transformation communications.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver integrated internal communications plans that support business objectives, working in partnership with leaders across the organization.
  • Create sharp, audience-first content across formats — written, visual, video, and short-form — adapted to each channel and to both desk-based and frontline (deskless) employees.
  • Act as a trusted communications advisor to teams and managers: assess needs, recommend the right approach, and support change, transformation, and engagement initiatives.
  • Own the editorial direction of the corporate intranet (SharePoint Online): content governance, information architecture, accessibility, and continuous improvement of the employee experience.
  • Manage and optimize the broader digital channel ecosystem — Microsoft Teams, Viva Engage, email/newsletter platforms, digital signage, and mobile-first channels that reach employees where they are.
  • Use AI-assisted workflows responsibly for drafting, translation support, personalization, and content operations while upholding quality, accuracy, and brand and privacy standards.
  • Build and animate digital communities that encourage two-way dialogue, knowledge sharing, and employee voice.
  • Measure what matters: track engagement and sentiment across channels, build simple dashboards, and turn insights into concrete improvements.
  • Ensure communications meet accessibility standards and Quebec French-language requirements (Bill 96) across all employee-facing content.
  • Stay ahead of trends in internal communications, employee experience, and communications technology, and bring the best ideas in-house.
