About The Position

Rockwell Automation’s Technical Sales and Consulting Internship Program is a 12-week paid internship focused on developing sales, technical, and professional skills. Interns work with manufacturing customers to help improve productivity using Rockwell Automation solutions and receive in-person, online, and on-the-job training. The program offers three tracks: Business Development Representative, Account Manager, and Technology Consultant. Sales interns are placed in field sales offices across the United States. Business Development Representatives develop and qualify new sales opportunities, collaborating with Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing to create targeted strategies and messaging for new business and expansion accounts. They engage customers by phone and digital methods, including email and online remote meetings. Account Managers develop and implement sales strategies and plans to meet sales goals and grow market share, working with customers face to face. Technology Consultants serve as technical resources for Rockwell Automation technology and products in their areas, communicate portfolio benefits to customers, and meet with customers both face to face and online. The role is based at a Rockwell Automation location. Under the company’s hybrid policy, employees are expected to work at a Rockwell location at least Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays unless they have a business obligation out of the office. The internship is paid at a base rate of $20–$32 per hour; actual pay depends on factors such as skills, knowledge, education, and experience.
