About The Position

Hitachi Rail is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated Supply Chain intern for Summer 2027. The hybrid position is based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and is scheduled from May 2027 through August 2027. The intern will support the team and gain hands-on experience in urban transit and mobility while learning about Hitachi Rail’s mission and impact. Hitachi Rail provides signaling systems for metro and light rail networks, with a focus on efficient, safe, and green transportation. The internship offers real-world projects, mentorship, intern events, and the opportunity to build a career with a global company working in digital transformation and innovation. It is a paid internship.

Requirements

Be a current student at a four-year university majoring in Supply Chain, IT, Operations, or Project Management, with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and December 2028.
Have 0–3 years of experience in Supply Chain.
Have software proficiency in SAP and Excel.
Have basic Power BI dashboard use and interpretation skills for KPI and inventory reporting.
Be able to use Documentation Management.
Have excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex technical information.
Have strong relevant technical skills.
Be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
Demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
Be fluent in English, both written and verbal.
