About The Position

The Supply Chain Management Intern will join AWG’s All-In-One Distribution Hub operations team for a 10-week summer internship. The role provides direct experience with supply chain management and the movement of products from suppliers to member retailers. The team helps ensure timely delivery at the best possible cost by managing inventory, coordinating shipments, and optimizing logistics. The internship is scheduled for May 25, 2027 through July 30, 2027, at 500 Kapik Road, Hernando, Mississippi. The intern will travel to AWG’s Support Center in Kansas City, Missouri, for an end-of-year presentation to the executive leadership team. The work environment is business casual.

Requirements

• Must be a Supply Chain Management major.
• Junior- or senior-level students are preferred; recent grades are acceptable.
• Solid communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Attention to detail, willingness to ask questions, and ability to follow up.
• Initiative, enthusiasm to learn, and ability to follow direction.
• Ability to commit to a full-time, 40-hour-per-week, 10-week internship.
• Regular and reliable attendance throughout the program.

Nice To Haves

• Junior or senior academic standing is preferred.
• Willingness to relocate for possible full-time positions.

Responsibilities

• Gain experience with supply chain management activities that move products from suppliers to member retailers.
• Support the flow of goods that keeps member retailers’ shelves stocked.
• Contribute to inventory management, shipment coordination, and logistics optimization.
• Present internship insights to AWG’s executive leadership team at the Support Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
