About The Position

Inter Miami CF is seeking an Intern, Software Engineer to support development of internal applications, tools, and technology solutions. The intern will contribute to front-end and back-end development and help build scalable solutions that improve internal processes, data accessibility, and business operations across the organization. This is a paid, part-time internship in the Number 10 Internship program for the 2027 Sprint Season cohort, scheduled to run from January 11, 2027, through June 4, 2027, for fewer than 20 hours per week.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or recently graduated from a related program.
• Knowledge of front-end and back-end development and general software development principles.
• Experience or coursework using programming languages such as PHP, Java, JavaScript, Python, or similar.
• Familiarity with SQL, relational databases, APIs, and web application development.
• Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern web development concepts.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Git/version control and software development workflows.
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
• Passion for fútbol.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, development, testing, and maintenance of internal web applications and tools.
• Contribute to front-end and back-end development.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using PHP, Java, JavaScript, or similar programming languages.
• Develop and maintain integrations between internal applications, databases, APIs, and third-party systems.
• Work with SQL and relational databases to retrieve, manage, and structure data used by internal applications.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and improve existing applications and technical solutions.
• Collaborate with the BI team and other departments to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Support documentation, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of internally developed applications.
• Research and apply software development best practices and emerging technologies.
